PRISM for Moms was created to help providers effectively diagnosis and manage the mental health concerns of their perinatal patients by providing free consultation services with an expert perinatal psychiatrist. We can also connect providers to community resources and share educational materials, giving you more capacity to care for your perinatal patients.

  • After submitting your e-consult you will be directed to a Calendly form to schedule a consultation time that works for your schedule.

  • Therapy and family mediation approaches

PRISM FAQs

What is PRISM?

“PRISM” stands for Psychiatric Referrals, Intervention, and Support in Montana. PRISM is a free psychiatric consultation service dedicated to supporting Montana clinicians who are looking for prompt, expert answers to clinical questions.

Can I refer a patient to access this service?

No. This consultation service is available to healthcare professionals only. Please do not direct your patients to the phone number or e-consult form.

What happens when I submit an e-consult form?

Once we receive your completed, HIPAA-compliant online e-consult form, we will review the clinical information and any associated documentation and prepare a written response to your clinical questions. If we need any clarifying information, we will call you.

What happens when I call 1-833-83-PRISM?

Calls will be answered 24/7 by a support specialist who will collect necessary information in order to prepare our psychiatry staff to call you back and provide case-based consultation.

What are the hours of the PRISM consultation service?

You are welcome to call or submit an e-consult request at any time of day. Requests received weekdays (Monday–Friday) before 4 pm will be handled the same day. All other requests will be addressed the next business day.

How quickly will you answer my clinical questions?

We will return consultation request calls received before 4 pm on weekdays between 4 pm and 5 pm on the same day. Similarly, if an e-consult form is submitted on a weekday before 4 pm, our staff will either call or send a written answer via fax between 4 pm and 5 pm on the same day. Any requests received after 4 pm on weekdays or over the weekend will be addressed the next business day.

Who is answering our clinical questions?

PRISM is staffed by the clinical team at Frontier Psychiatry, including board-certified psychiatrists, senior psychiatry residents, and experienced psychiatric nurse practitioners.

Can PRISM provide materials for my practice?

Yes, we have flyers, brochures, magnets, and pens available for distribution. Please email Dr. Ariela Frieder at ariela@frontier.care and ask for these resources.
